In 1970, Carlos Fernando Correa de Castro founded, in Curitiba, a law firm dedicated to legal services of excellence.

Our history

1970
- 1970 — The foundation: Carlos Fernando Correa de Castro brings together young lawyers from renowned Paraná law schools and founds ACC with the purpose of delivering differentiated legal services to the national market.
- 1980 — International banking arrives in Paraná: Citibank/Citigroup begins operations in the state, marking the arrival of major international banking in Paraná. ACC accompanies this movement, working alongside financial institutions to consolidate their presence.
- 1988 — New Federal Constitution: The new Constitution of the Republic is promulgated. ACC focuses its work on analyzing the profound impacts on Brazil's legal landscape.
- 1990 — Consumer Defense Code: ACC structures services aimed at companies affected by the new law, establishing itself as a reference in business consumer law.
- 1994 — Real Plan: On July 10, the Real Plan takes effect. ACC works on risk mitigation and capturing opportunities in foreign direct investment projects.
- 1998 — Paraná's automotive hub: The French automotive industry establishes operations in São José dos Pinhais, at the Ayrton Senna Complex, marking Paraná's transformation into an automotive hub — when ACC consolidated its presence in the sector.
- 2000 — A new era for Brazil's automotive industry: Paraná welcomes a new Japanese automaker, expanding the automotive hub. ACC accompanies this movement by structuring legal solutions for its operations in the country.
- 2003 — New Civil Code: On January 11, the new Civil Code takes effect. ACC assembles a task force to analyze impacts across all practice areas.
- 2006 — Curitiba as a mobility benchmark: Curitiba establishes itself as a global reference for BRT systems. During the same period, ACC expands its work with the tire industry and the capital's public transport sector.
- 2008 — Expansion in automotive finance: Integration between automakers and specialized financial institutions accelerates in Brazil. ACC expands its work in automotive banking, structuring solutions for fleet financing.
- 2013 — Heavy truck industry in Paraná: Paraná welcomes a new industrial operation for heavy truck manufacturing. ACC participates from corporate structuring to factory setup, accompanying the full cycle of entry into the Brazilian market.
- 2014 — Brazilian Internet Civil Framework: ACC begins significant work in Digital Law, including personal data protection, information security, and compliance awareness for corporate clients.
- 2015 — New Code of Civil Procedure: The new Code of Civil Procedure replaces the 1973 law. ACC promotes comprehensive updates for staff and partners.
- 2016 — A milestone for Brazil's automotive industry: Brazil surpasses 2.5 million vehicles produced. ACC consolidates its experience in the automotive sector and expands into healthcare industries — segments requiring deep regulatory and international corporate knowledge.
- 2018 — Growth of the consortium market: Brazil's consortium system reaches historic records. ACC expands its work in the sector, serving administrators with consolidated expertise in business consumer law.
- 2019 — Labor reform: The Labor Reform and the Economic Freedom Act are approved. ACC guides companies in contractual compliance and expands its work in heavy industrial financing.
- 2020 — Pandemic and Global Compact: ACC joins the Global Compact, formalizing its commitment to sustainability. ACC works on building solutions to mitigate the risks and effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
- 2023 — Tax reform and sustainability: Constitutional Amendment 132/2023 establishes tax reform — one of the deepest changes to the national tax system. ACC publishes its first Sustainability Report, formalizing its ESG commitment.
- 2024 — Responsible AI in law: ACC supports structuring projects for ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence across Brazilian productive sectors — from agribusiness to the aeronautical industry.
- 2025 — Chambers Brazil 2025: ACC is recognized by the British publication Chambers & Partners for the excellence of its services. Partners Adriana D'Avila Oliveira and Andrezza Hautsch Oikawa receive individual recognition.
- 2026 — The present, in motion: Over more than six decades, ACC enjoys trust and solidity serving national and multinational companies and individuals — guided by the same principles since 1970.
